Why the USVI?
The USVI and most Islands of The Caribbean do not have any formal recycling programs. This is particularly true for plastics.
OPT USA, Inc. is working with several partners in the USVI to create a permanent plastic waste recycling solution.
What are we doing?
Working with our partners and supporters we are placing collection/processing units throughout the Islands. Creating jobs and business owners through a consolidated value chain.
This program will produce fully processed plastics from each location (all types of plastics) to be sold to local industry and exported, AT A RPOFIT.
Creating wealth from waste in the islands.
A sustainable business solution
The program is creating a viable recycling industry in the islands. This is a for profit venture that will create a self sustaining recycling industry. The process, jobs and wealth will be created in the islands while solving a major plastic waste problem.
